Welcome to the Clarinet Mentors NEW video lesson exchange.

This is your opportunity to get some personal, FREE, coaching from Michelle Anderson, founder of Clarinet Mentors.

If you have a clarinet-related question or challenge, please write your question in the form below. Even better, send a short video of yourself illustrating the challenge that you are having. Michelle will review each of the videos, and make the responses available for everyone to share and learn from. Whatever challenges you have, are likely not unique! We all have similar challenges - notes that fingers have trouble reaching, tone that doesn’t sound the way we want it to, running out of breath, equipment trouble. One of the best ways to learn is to study feedback that works successfully for others.

Here is how it works:
  1. Identify one challenge, and write it in the box below
  2. Record a short video (under 3 minutes please) where you briefly explain the challenge, and then play your clarinet to demonstrate it. (Remember, this is not the time to make it perfect. This is the time to illustrate what may typically be challenging for you so that Michelle can give you useful feedback.)
  3. Prepare your video to export in “web-ready” format. Almost every video recording system on computers will have an “export” option under the “file” menu. If you click on it, it will allow you to choose a smaller memory version that makes it easier to send and view online. If you are on a Mac computer, you can record using Quicktime, and then go to File - Export For Web. If you click on that, it will create a low memory version that you can upload below. Windows has Movie Maker, and directions to export can be found here: http://www.wikihow.com/Export-Windows-Movie-Maker-Files. If you use a different program, simple look for the export to web and choose a .wmv or .mov option.
  4. Attach your reduced video file to the form below by clicking on the upload button.

Michelle will contact you when your video feedback is ready. This will be shared with the Clarinet Mentors community online in a special free clarinet webinar in March. To be included in this webinar, please upload your video by March 1st, 2013.
